Julie Ziemelis has over 25 years of experience in public relations and marketing, and for the past ten years, digital marketing and social media strategies. She spent 15 years working as a Communications Director for large real estate trade associations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. Julie founded her own Public Relations/Digital Marketing/Event Planning consulting company, Ziemelis Communications in 2010 when she moved to Kailua Kona, Hawaii. To assist the business community, Julie created TechConKona in 2011 and held it again in 2012 to bring digital marketing and social media training to business owners on Hawaii Island. Julie served as the Vice President for Habitat for Humanity-West Hawaii. Julie has spoken at numerous digital media events and real estate conferences in Hawaii and California, including the Inman Connect Conference, Agent Reboot Honolulu and the California Association of Realtors Expo on best practices and strategies. Julie created “365 Things to Do in Kona” and “365 Things to Do in South Lake Tahoe” as lifestyle blogs on Facebook and blogs about Hawaii at “365Kona.com” and digital marketing and social media at JulieZiemelis.com. She recently became the Director for Industry Engagement for Xplode Conferences sharing the excitement for real estate technology and marketing education to Associations and MLS’s around the country.
